I hope everyone had a relaxing Easter break. It has been an eventful start to the new term at Bickley Park with a lot of hard work to go with it.
On Wednesday the year 6s and a small group of teachers set off to Suffolk for Adventure School. The boys took part in a number of exciting survival activities and they all had a lot of fun. My brother Bertie was on the trip and this is what he had to say: ‘The trip was extremely challenging but really fun at the same time. My favourite parts were preparing our own dinner as a team and knife throwing.’ I look forward to looking at the photographs and videos that were taken during the trip.
On Monday years 5-8 all took part in house cross country. To some pupils’ horror (or joy) cross country was postponed due to poor weather at the end of last term, but, on Monday and Tuesday, the boys were on the field competing in Houses, pushing themselves to new limits. Grit and determination were showed as the pupils went through the difficult challenge of running cross country. Well done to all the boys who took part, especially the medal winners. They were brilliant on the day.
Alex is the new Deputy Head Boy and I am thrilled to be working with him this term. We will try to form a successful partnership that will benefit the school. I wish everyone a fantastic term!
