Our aim at Bickley Park is to offer your son a broad education, one that gives him the chance to try out new experiences and develop the full range of his abilities. We believe that Music, Art, Home Economics and Design Technology play a crucial role in achieving this. 

Every boy will discover that music is part of life at Bickley Park. School choirs, music lessons and for the vast majority, playing a musical instrument, will be a daily or weekly event. Not just inside the school either: our foreign choir tours have included a memorable visit to New York where boys sang at the chapel at Ground Zero.

Whether it is House plays, school plays or one-off events, there’s also lots of Drama on offer at Bickley Park. As well as being great fun, we believe it gives our boys the chance to develop their confidence, self-discipline and team work. Our professionally equipped theatre seats 180 people and also provides opportunities for those who would rather work behind the scenes.

By taking Home Economics, boys not only learn to prepare and cook healthy food, they also get to use their science and maths skills in a different context, as well as learning how to manage time and budgets carefully.

In Design Technology, opportunities are available to develop a project from the drawing board (or computer screen) to prototype stage and then, finally, to a working version. As a result, our boys can learn for themselves how creative thinking and practical skills work together.
