We were delighted that four boys have been chosen to go forward to the next stage of the competition; now called the PMC Bonus Round. They are Daniel O’Driscoll (6MC), Benedict Llewellyn (6SM), Sam Eldridge (6MC) and Jackson Wen (6SM). These boys scored 22 or more out of 25 on the paper in November and will take the Bonus Round paper on 1st February. Good luck to them and well done to everyone who took part.

Year Two Visit To Prep

On Tuesday afternoon, Year Two had a very enjoyable visit to the Prep School to find out what life in Key Stage Two would be like.  The boys were met by Mrs Marriott and Mr Cobb and were shown a video of some of the activities they would experience when they join Year Three. The boys then had a busy afternoon of lessons including; a model building session in DT, a practical demonstration in Science and a drama-filled RE activity. It was a very positive experience for the boys and has helped them to prepare for their progression through the school which they are now eagerly anticipating!

Lego Competition

Lego CompetitionAt the end of last term 6SM staged a Lego Competition for the whole school. The event was a tremendous success with boys from all year groups taking part and winning prizes. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everyone who took part.

We did, however, hold the competition for a reason – to support Action for Children. This is a charity working in the UK to support neglected and abused children. Entry for the competition was £1 and many boys paid in advance of the day. There were a number of other boys who wanted to join in (and did on the day) but who still committed to paying the £1 entry fee.

Please could you make sure that if you forgot the bring the £1 in last term you bring it in during the next week and hand in to Mrs Marriott (6SM form room).

Thank you.
