Superhero morning…

DEPUTY HEAD BOY’S BLOG

Last week, Pre-Prep Nursery and Reception children had lots of fun in a Superhero morning with Mr. Marvel, wearing lots of different costumes from the Marvel collection. So, a big thank you to Stuart McKenzie- Mclyntyre for organising this event for Pre-Prep to enjoy.

Also in Pre-Prep, Year 1 enjoyed their tennis sessions with an ex-professional British player. Congratulations to one of the boys, Jayden, for winning the U8 Aegon competition.

In Prep, Will and Josh did their Sevenoaks scholarship exams which, as far as I know, went well. I’m sure that they will be very nervous to be awaiting their results. Also, congratulations to the general knowledge team for achieving the runners-up position in the Rowland Constantine Shield, despite missing two key players who were both away doing exams at Sevenoaks.

Last Saturday, eight boys (including me!) continued our Offa’s Dyke training from early in the morning. We enjoyed an amazing eight and a half mile walk around Winston Churchill’s home: Chartwell. Despite being tired during the walk, we enjoyed some fantastic countryside views.

This week, Year 8 have had their Common Entrance orals and listening exams. We have been busy revising over the weekend to try and achieve the best possible marks in order to get into good sets at our senior schools.
